Welcome to English, Public Speaking & Yearbook!

“Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it.”

About Ms. Dell

One of my favorite quotes about education:

"The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically.  Intelligence plus character - this is the goal of true education." - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Teaching Philosophy

As a graduate of Concord High School, I am honored to be back as a teacher.  The CHS community is made up of an amazing group of staff and students, and I am privileged to be a part of it.

In my tenth year as a teacher at CHS, I believe my role is to facilitate and encourage students in learning.  My goal is to ensure that every student masters the English standards and to push students to reach their full potential, in the classroom and beyond.  By the time students leave my class, my hope is that they are not only more confident in their writing, reading, and speaking, but also more confident as a human being.
